Calling all Lady Golfers
Twenty years ago I moved back to Cornwall, and chose Truro as the club I would play for a Season, until I explored the longer, more challenging Courses. After all, at 5,300 yds odd it seemed like a walk in the park.
Which is exactly what it is. A beautifully maintained Parkland Course set around a Stately Manor and constructed in the 1930s.
You may well ask why I am still here twenty years later. Well let me explain.
• Shorter Course yes, but tricky? Absolutely. If you want to finely hone your short game, Truro is the best training ground.
• Play 18 holes and still have time to nip into work, or collect the children from school. Truro accommodates most timetables and lifestyles.
• A more 'forgiving' game for those who can no longer manage the hilly windswept marathons but don't care to admit it!
• Right on the edge of the City with easy access and beautiful Countryside to enjoy.
• Not to mention the friendly atmosphere, great clubhouse and catering. Various social activities such as Bridge, Tapas evenings, and even a Christmas Drama group should you wish to join in.
So ladies, if you want a game, why not ring us on 01872 278684. If you haven't played before, our Pro has a special 'Starter Group'which has proven most popular.
Speak to our Manager who will happily point you in the right direction whatever your requirement.
You wont regret it; I didn't. Anyway, the Course is plenty long enough, and I have never heard our popular Men's Section complaining either!
